This is a 5/5 game, so – if you find that you’re playing it for more than a month – please buy it.Ī Demo up to level 8 (which took a lot longer than in the original game, I may add) just isn’t enough to get a good sense of if you enjoy it or not. Not only is there another part of the map to explore (and conquer), but there are also plenty more opportunities to play differently, rather than fall into the rut of ‘same character, different game’. I can’t say how much better all the small improvements from the beta version of this game and the original have made Warband. Battle sizes are HUGE! Be prepared for a lot less couched lancing (removed for multiplayer battles :P) and more ordering your troops about on the battlefield to get the advantage and win the day. There is also more emphasis placed upon strategy and tactics than in the original Mount and Blade, meaning that the game isn’t just battle after battle after battle… Plus, it is (at least for me) a bit harder at 80% difficulty, compared to the original.
